For me, painting is exploration, communication, play — and sometimes escape. It allows me to return to an experience, look at it more deeply, and understand why it has stayed with me.

My paintings usually begin with something I have experienced. It always happens somewhere, but the place itself is not always the true subject. Sometimes I feel a strong need to paint a particular street, landscape, view, or quiet corner. At other times, it is the atmosphere or emotion of a moment that I want to preserve.

I return to the experience through memory. Rather than reproducing exactly what I saw, I choose colours that carry its feeling, adding imagination and often a touch of whimsy.

Colour is the language of my work. I use intuitive and sometimes unexpected palettes to express emotion rather than visual accuracy. Familiar places can become playful, reflective, dreamlike, or quietly magical when their colours begin to tell a different story.

I am especially drawn to ordinary and overlooked places because they hold atmosphere, memory, and emotion. My work lives between whimsy and contemplation: some paintings invite you to wander, while others invite you to pause and breathe.

I paint for people who respond deeply to colour, notice atmosphere, and find meaning in places and moments that may seem ordinary to others.

I work digitally and traditionally. Even when a painting begins on an iPad, I approach it as a painting rather than as an image made only for a screen. Selected works are available as limited-edition fine art prints, created to live in real spaces and become part of other people’s lives..
