“I am seeking, I am striving, I am in it with all my heart.”
— Vincent van Gogh"
Painting is an escape, painting is exploration, painting is fun, painting is communication.
I am an artist inspired by travel, color, and ordinary places.
I paint streets, houses, parks, and quiet corners — not because they are famous, but because they hold atmosphere, memory, and emotion. I’m drawn to places people pass by without noticing, and I translate them into emotional landscapes through color.
Color is not decoration in my work — it is language.
I use intuitive, often unexpected palettes to express feeling rather than accuracy. Through this, familiar places shift into something more playful, reflective, and quietly magical.
I am deeply drawn to color and constantly experiment with it. My focus is on how colors and color combinations affect us — how they can shape mood, memory, and emotional response.
My work lives between whimsy and contemplation.
Some paintings invite you to wander. Others invite you to pause and breathe. All of them are guided by the belief that beauty exists everywhere — once we learn how to look.
I paint for people who feel deeply, who are drawn to color, and who find meaning in small moments and overlooked places.
I work digitally, but each piece is finished with the intention of becoming a physical object — a print meant to live in real space, not just on a screen.

Background & Practice
I’ve loved to draw and paint since childhood. There was a period when I couldn’t stop painting in my teens, then there was a period when I hardly painted anything at all for about 15 years.
Many members of my family paint, my sister, Viola Kučerová, is a painter and my grandfather, Josef Konečný, was a traditional painter. He studied at the Prague Academy of Art in the 30s.
I’m mostly self taught and intuitive painter. I attended art courses for children and studied art for one semester at Masaryk University, Brno Czech Republic. I also studied Graphic Design in San Diego, California and this experience brought me back to creating art.
I’m Czech and come from Brno. I'm also American and I lived in California.
Currently I live in Brno.
I participated in two group exhibitions in West Hollywood and I had two exhibitions together with my brother, Mikuláš Petr, a photographer in Prague.
My art evolved from the fantasy and realistic work of my teenage and young adult years to my current focus on mosaic and free-style landscapes and cityscapes, often fauvist in spirit, as well as whimsical fantasies and abstract works.
I began as a traditional artist, working with oil, gouache, pastel, and colored pencils. After a long break, I returned to art through watercolor, colored pencils, and mixed media. I then turned fully to digital painting, creating my works on an iPad using Procreate. At present, I am again exploring a balance between traditional and digital media, using both as a way to investigate their boundaries and possibilities.
